"It’s been a while since we were last blown away by Erin Costelo’s huge, powerful voice, but that’s all about to change with her upcoming Down Below the Status Quo album, out March 25 on her own label, Venue Records.

If you can’t wait until then, we hope to tide you over with the premiere of the album’s first single and video for “Fighter.” Directed by Daniel Ledwell, it follows a day in the life of Bernadette Hamilton-Reid, who Costelo calls “The most amazingly generous, positive and supportive woman” she knows. The song, meanwhile, is backed by jazzy piano and guitar as Costelo sings of the fighters in everyday life. What do they do when the war is over?"
