Voters can head to musicnovascotia.ca/entertaineroftheyear to choose their favourite Nova Scotian act of the past year. The winner will be announced at the 2014 Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW), held in Truro Colchester from November 6-9. The online vote will close on October 27, 2014. This year's nominees include Carleton Stone, David Myles, Kim Harris, Mo Kenney, The Town Heroes and The Trews. For a full list of the 2014 Music Nova Scotia Music Awards nominees, head here. Music Nova Scotia Executive Director Scott Long believes this year yields one of the strongest groups of nominees he has seen in this category. "This year’s list of nominees for Entertainer of the Year is very impressive, with exciting up-and-coming acts sitting alongside established Nova Scotian heavyweights. This award truly showcases the range of talent coming out of our province today,” says Long. “It’s important for us to include the fans’ voice in the Music Nova Scotia Awards. That said, they’re going to have a hard time choosing with such a strong group of nominees.” The Music Nova Scotia Awards will be handed out during the 2014 Music Nova Scotia Music and Industry Awards Brunch, to be held at the Holiday Inn and Conference Centre Truro on Sunday, November 9. Brunch tickets can be purchased here. To purchase festival passes or for more information on NSMW, head to www.nsmw.ca.
