Ryan Cook announces the release of his fourth studio album, Having A Great Time followed by an intimate tour of his home province of Nova Scotia. Ryan will be playing towns and cities across Nova Scotia in venues ranging from house concerts to The Carleton in Halifax, and will take the album to rest of the world in 2018. The album was recorded live at Joel Plaskett’s New Scotland Yard Studio this summer and produced by Charles Austin. Having a Great Time (Nov 3, 2017) explores both the light and dark sides of snow-birding in sunshine states, through the lens of a drifting Atlantic Canadian folk singer. Recorded with twin fiddles, Hawaiian guitars, synthesizers, and 3 part harmonies, Ryan Cook and company go highway driving in search of the proverbial great time. Nova Scotia full tour dates below.

About Ryan Cook
Mixing classic country music with modern satire, Ryan Cook has forged a sound between contemporary folk and dyed-in-the wool country. With nuances of pop and western swing, Ryan's songbook reminiscences of the early hillbilly and folk pioneers but stays very much in the current landscape. On stage Ryan has toured as a solo performer opening for Country purists like Dwight Yoakam, Rosanne Cash, & Travis Tritt. His acoustic live show combines thumb-picking guitar styles, original folk & country ballads and vintage music from the 1940’s and 1950’s.
 
Ryan has received over 20 nominations in Atlantic Canada, 3 Album of the Year awards in Nova Scotia, and written, produced and published music in Nashville, TN. He has performed musical tribute shows to Hank Williams Sr. as well as Merle Travis, Merle Haggard, and Johnny Cash.
