![]() Three-song EP is first of a three-part release, Full Album out October 2019 Announces 2019 Spring Tour Dates “Derksen’s vocals are impeccable, and the lyrics are relatable” - Canadian Beats “Derksen has a lovely tone — there’s a warmth there that is instantly familiar upon first listen.” - VoiceCouncil Magazine ![]() “Each of the three songs on this EP come with a unique story, and were written in a specific place: one from a rented room in Portland, Oregon, one from the back of my van parked in Nashville, Tennessee, and one from the second-floor of my home in Winnipeg's West End neighbourhood. The songs came to life through the vibrant and generous community of artists in Winnipeg, from work-shopping the songs with other writers, to tracking instrumentalists at Signpost Studios; every step of the way was very much a collaborative effort. Coming back to Winnipeg after living on the west coast for nearly 6 years, I’m blown away by caliber of musicianship and the strong support networks in this city.” -- Noah Derksen (Mar 1, 2019) Noah Derksen is a Canadian singer-songwriter producing a singular and haunting brand of contemplative folk music punctuated by his skillful guitar and soulful vocals. America, Dreaming is a personal journey containing Noah’s observation of his own identity as an American citizen growing up in Canada. Written during time he spent living and travelling across his mother’s native land, the United States – from Oregon to Nashville, and New York to California – this collection of songs were recorded and produced by Murray Pulver (The Bros. Landreth, Joey Landreth, Doc Walker, etc.) in Winnipeg, Canada. America, Dreaming is a full-length album that will be released in three distinct parts throughout 2019 culminating in the full album release in October. This unique roll out takes advantage of the listening habits of today’s music audiences based on changing technological and inter-connected contemporary lifestyles. The quality and beauty of these songs will leave listeners eagerly anticipating the next installment.
