Laila’s live show is eclectic and energetic, a true representation of her artistry both on and off stage. Melodies take thrilling left turns and pre-choruses give way to instrumental interludes. One minute Biali is soaring over a bluesy storm of handclaps and hard-charging keyboard riffs, the next she is pouring out her soul on an impassioned ballad. It’s jazz, it’s pop, it can’t be put into a box but it’s beautiful. “I'm thrilled to be bringing my band to Atlantic Canada! This tour had to be rescheduled twice on account of pandemic delays, but I think this third time is truly the charm – and charm is the word that encapsulates every experience we've had of Canada's gorgeous eastern provinces,” says Biali. “We can't wait to share original songs from our most recent releases alongside the Great Canadian Songbook – covers of Joni Mitchell, Feist, Leonard Cohen and more – reimaginings of Pop hits, and a few hot-off-the-press surprises.
