The duo bring Erin’s award winning album, Down Below, The Status Quo, to multiple venues in Alberta and British Columbia, beginning April 6 in Calgary at the Calgary Folk Club. Just released in the US on Compass Records (Nashville, TN), Erin is touring her latest, self-produced album Down Below, the Status Quo, which is a poignant collection of songs for our time; in one moment a desperate whisper and in the next, a defiant scream. Glide Magazine calls the record "genre defying, contemplative piece, ranging in emotion from defiance and desperation to hope and strength." and gave it 8/10 stars. At the Kelowna Forum on the 20th and at Heritage Playhouse, Gibsons BC, on April 21, Erin will perform selections of her own music, along with Carole King’s ‘Tapestry’ album. About Down Below, The Status Quo Down Below, The Status Quo was Awarded the 2017 East Coast Music Award for R&B/Soul Album of the Year, and the Music Nova Scotia Award for Solo Recording of the Year in 2016 and garnered a total of 12 nominations in her home region of Canada. The album was a runner up for Folk Music Ontario’s 2017 Recording of the Year Award, sponsored by ACTRA RACS (Recording Artists’ Collecting Society), which recognises the overall artistic performance of a recording artist in the Folk/Roots/Blues genre.
