TITLE TRACK LANDSCAPES OUT NOW! Vancouver’s The Long War debut album, Landscapes, is out today! The record has been streaming over at CBC Music, ahead of today’s release. Have a listen here: https://www.cbcmusic.ca/first-plays/745/first-play-the-long-war-landscapes. The new album features previously released songs, Breathe In Breathe Out, Lake Louise and the newly released title track Landscapes. The band kicked off a 20+ date tour this Wednesday, April 18th in Toronto - details are below and at www.thelongwarband.com. Vocalist Jarrett Lee had this to share about the title track - "Landscapes is a song that reflects the underlying meaning behind the whole album. It’s about leaving a place which I’ve done a lot - from Ontario to BC to The Yukon, the visual beauty and uniqueness of it all - and returning somewhere deeply familiar, in reflection. It’s an understanding that these places and people in them hold answers to the questions surrounding the person you’ve become. “Landscapes change, people stay the same.” With new surroundings, we take on new experiences, struggles, and growth - but we can’t forget the things that have shaped us. " The Indie group has been building a buzz in the music scene with their haunting harmonies all the while capturing a modern Canadian sound - singing about what they know - their home country. Jarrett Lee's inspiration can largely be attributed to the landscapes and environments that have influenced him throughout his life. Building out from this foundation Chad Gilmour (vocals/guitars), Jessica Lee (vocals/keys), Carson Webber (bassist) and Neil Williamson(vocals/drums) provide support through their harmonies and instrumentation bringing Jarrett’s lyrical imagery to life and defining the music of The Long War.
