Featuring guest vocalist Mary Jane Lamond & The Fretless on strings Selkie celebrates the upcoming “Blood Moon” - the longest Blood Moon of the Century - which Occurs July 27th! ![]() “There is something about a Blood Moon that I always find very mysterious and evocative. It plays a strong role in this song as I linked it to the Celtic legend of the Selkie: The mermaid figure that sheds its skin to become human for the sake of love. »On this track you can hear Mary Jane Lamond, singing in Gaelic giving the song an ageless depth as she calls out “From the Sea I come to find you” . The Fretless add some haunting strings to aptly set the scene for this Blood Moon sojourn.” - Lennie Gallant Selkie is from Time Travel, the new album from Lennie Gallant. Set to be released on Aug 31, the record also features guest appearances by Jenn Grant, Rose Cousins & the Atlantic String Machine, nand included 13 new songs that showcase a fresh, new approach to Lennie’s music.
