Steven Lambke (Constantines, Baby Eagle) is bringing the thoughtful, quiet and gentle songs of his newest album, Days of Heaven, to the woodstove-heated stage at The Timber Lounge in Halifax. Joining him will be former Halifax denizen and always favourite folk / pop singer-songwriter Gianna Lauren (Forward Music Group). Opening support will be local (by way of Newfoundland) bedroom-pop crooner Kurt Inder, who’s 2015 effort, Soft Things, made the 2016 Polaris Music Prize Long Long List.
In The Dead of Winter festival is an acoustic-based music festival held annually in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the last weekend of January (January 19 - 22 2017), and in Wakefield, Quebec on the second weekend in February (February 5 - 7, 2017). The Halifax festival began in 2006 at the legendary Khyber Club with one small stage and eleven artists. The Wakefield festival began soon after, in 2009, at the Black Sheep Inn.
